I live in the West Country myself and this book is very evocative of the area. Lot's missing, 10 April 2013

Although there is indeed a lot of useful information in the Artists' and Writers' Yearbook I am surprised at how much is missing, at least from my point of view. I am a food writer and wish to pitch suitable magazines in the UK. Most of the magazines I am familiar with are not listed. I wonder why!

I lived in the Caribbean (not Jamaica) for many years and these recipes remind me of my time there. We called Cornmeal porridge Fungi in the Virgin islands but it is the same thing!
