I got this on cassette in 1985 (age 11) having not really been old enough to get swept along in the Duran mania/hype.
This remains one of my all-time favourite recordings, from the music to the lyrics to the production values. It really is Pop Art!
Until Medazzaland, this remained the only "body of work" as opposed to "singles" and "filler" (in my humble opinion)!!
Absolutely definitely belongs in your collection, whatever your taste....

Suffering from Duran Duran withdrawal, I got this as a kind of history lesson. You can hear the influences (Roxy, Bowie) but there's also the distinctive Duran sound coming through. Duffy's vocal style on this is probably not what it was in 1979 and is very different from Le Bon. Overall pleasing if somewhat "experimental". I suspect Mr. Rhodes had some new toys to play with!!!!
