1.0 out of 5 stars 90% contrived drivel, 21 April 2013
If you want a book with every lesbian cliche possible then this is the one for you. It is poorly characterised and the relationships are over dramatic and unbelievable. I really wanted to like this book, but it was awful. Truly awful. Ms Dax needs to take this back for at least another draft, probably two.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent food, 13 Mar 2013
My poor old border collie cross was suffering with a range of health problems. His ears were full of black muck and he had gone deaf, he had terrible flaky itchy skin on his back and all the hair fell out, his coat was dull, his arthritis was crippling him to the point where he could barely stand.
When I researched his problems it sounded like changing his diet couldn't hurt as he was eating wagg... Two months after changing his food he is like a different dog. He is still old, but the bad ears, skin, and coat have cleared up and his back legs are so much better he can go on two hour long jaunts at the park. This is a brilliant food, the only things I would rate higher would be orijen… Read more

The romance between Ash and the huntress was a little chaste for my liking but there was a sweetness to it that I found endearing. I guess as a retelling of a fairy story I could hardly expect there to be tons of passion, having said that the relationship isnt the main issue and it sort of creeps up on both you and Ash. All in all a lovely book with some beautiful lyrical imagery.
The one downside is I felt slightly removed from it while I was reading, as though someone was telling me the tale but I wasn't in it myself. Still definitely worth a… Read more
