Firstly how can the same person have two reviews - both very negative too(strange) - and the other reviews are both five star!
This is a wonderful live concert with some great audience interaction. The sound quality is very clear with a well balanced recording of the vocals and supporting musicians.
I have given this five stars because it is a nicely packaged 2CD arrangement from a very gifted artist.
This is the first time I have heard Noa and this is one talented muso.
Live In Concert 1975 ~ Kokomo
I would have loved to have been there as this was a typical live album. In parts it is very raw, but hey it is a live album. The sound quality is very good for a reproduction from 1975. OK a couple of tracks from their first album(i'm sorry babe / anytime) were a bit rough in parts, but there had been a couple of changes from the original line-up. The tracks from Rise & Shine are genuine live reproductions(and really good versions) but the best reason for getting this album are the two tracks not elsewhere available - PERCY'S ROOTS and WITH EVERYTHING I FEEL IN ME - both are great tracks and I am very surprised they only appear here on this live issue. Good stuff - track Pick Up The Pieces is the best live version I have heard as they genuinely jammed and gave each other a chance to show their class. Also has some rare live original tracks from Show Your Hand (put it where you want it/show your hand) & Feel No Fret(when will you be mine/please don't fall in love/atlantic avenue) which are very enjoyable versions. The "a star in the ghetto" with ben e king is also a pleasant surprise. Overall sound quality is very good - well worth a listen.
