4.0 out of 5 stars New to Folk, 7 July 2014
I'm pretty new to Folk music, and came across this listening to the radio. The album encompasses a wide selection of old time songs and instrumentals that get's your foot tapping and singing along after a few hearings.

I'm not an expert to be able to comment too much on this, except to say it is great place if you want to start listening to folk and will certainly get me exploring further.

OK.Lets start by saying this is not the greatest opera recording you're ever going to own, but for a 10 year old to even attempt these songs, let along alone make a decent effort at them all ,beggers belief.

Given another 10 years and some more training, this is going to be one of the great voices of the 21st century make no mistake, and the the fact that she is such a caring young lady can only help create a wonderful impression.
Ulysses Road: A South African Journey by Motorcycl&hellip by Tom Coghlan
As a once frequent visitor to South Africa, and a keen fan of its history and culture, the overview on this book promoted my interest, and purchase.

The book is as it says, a description of a journey around SA by Tom on his bike. The stories of the people he meets and the places they relate to are well written, in a relaxed and informative style, and makes for a most enjoyable read.

The real joy of the book is the wonderful pieces of history he relates, especially those that took place during the Boar War.

Recommended reading for anyone with any interest in South Africa and its history
