5 Album Set ~ Roxy Music
5 Album Set ~ Roxy Music
I bought the CD set which came with autorip for less than the price of the MP3 download. Where's the logic in that? Anyway, I'm grateful to have these five superb albums at little more than a couple of quid each. Of the five Viva is particularly sublime.

I got quite drawn into it, looking forward to my daily installment and finished it pretty quickly. Started thinking it was very dark but once I got accustomed to the utter obsession of the main protaganist I found it more fascinating than disturbing. The author does a good job of explaining why he is like he is and there is also considerable humour to be found throughout the narrative. Builds nicely to a gripping climax and an ending that is more realistic than reassuring.

I don't have all of Yoko's albums by any means but of what I've heard this is by far the best. Very original and refined. Watching The Dawn is so touching, Cheshire Cat so funky; there's a real fusion of styles here and the Plastic Ono Band is in great form. Well done Yoko!
