This is an intriguing book, I think I'd like to read a bit more, but the edition sold currently by Amazon (Paperback edition 2007, Souvenir Press) has many printing errors. The print quality of the book is also problematic (letters slanting left or right).

4.0 out of 5 stars fun to read, 13 April 2010
This is a very easy reading book packed with interesting insight to life in Tibet as an out comer. The author is a bit of a moaner sometimes but he made up by moaning in such a funny way that I laughed myself to tears. The people he met, the incredible scenery and interesting tales he told were all so fascinating. It is well worth a read.
