Philips HR2020/50 Silver Blender with 1.75 Litre Jug - 400 Watt by Philips DAP (UK Kitchen and Home Supplier)
I have used this for nine months nearly daily to blend a green fruit and veg shake. I've also used it to occasionally blend fruit smoothies, and sauces for cooking. It crushes ice with no bother, is very easy to clean (the blade disk is removable making the jug open on both ends. I'm pleased to say that this product fills that gap brilliantly. Not only do I have perfectly cooked meat, it takes a lot of the stress out of cooking.

The thermometer has several pre-programmed temperatures (so for example you can select 'Beef' 'Medium-Rare' and it will automatically choose the right temperature for that) but you can also enter a custom temperature. It tells you the current temperature and the goal temperature so you can see how far away you are from cooked. When it reaches the correct… Read more
