An excellent and accessible story that is suitable for children of all ages. Alfrida's emotional and physical journey to overcome evil and achieve success will inspire many.

How was it for me? Well the ground moved - an absolutely fabulous return journey with Jackson Brodie, Louise Munroe and new character Reggie. Kate Atkinson is the new master of ironic cliche. A great combination of literary novel and detective story. From 'Ad Augusta per Angusta's' interweaving of modern song titles 'taking the long way round', 'hello darkness my old friend' to the many threads of the well-crafted plot this novel is a gem. More please - I'm hoping to read more about Reggie in a future Brodie novel.
