If you're hoping for some sort of 'Football Manager lite' I'm afraid this will leave you wanting more. The game boils down to you flipping through match results with the player having little to no effect on the results or the direction of the game. There is very little in the way of stats for you to look at. Once you've chosen a manager, he picks the team and bids on players. As chairman you can accept or reject his requests, but if you make a mistake there's nothing you can do to fix that which is annoying.

The game works reasonably well. It can feel sticky sometimes when you are trying to move through screens.

The Scourge (The Scourge, Book 1) by Roberto Calas
My expectations for this book were not high, I picked it up as a regular zombie fan would do. To be fair though, I did have fun with the story. The plot is nothing too complex and the writing is fair, but there are some good moments and amusing events.

This is worth a dabble, there are far worse books out there, which may not seem high praise but to its credit this book made a welcome, light-hearted change of pace.

If you choose to buy this, come to it with an open mind and enjoy the journey.
The Last Four Things (Left Hand of God Trilogy 2) by Paul Hoffman
After such a good book to kick this series off, I was keen to read more about Cale and see where this story went. Now, having read the second book and seen the various negative comments for book three, I'm not sure where I stand.

This story has its moments, but on the whole is not as compelling as book one. The story seems to ramble and stagger to a conclusion without any of the cleverness seen in book one.

I don't feel as though I'm on Cale's side and to be honest the whole prophesy, whilst interesting, seems to lose its way.

By all means give this book a chance, there are some good battle scenes and the odd insight I found interesting. Just don't expect… Read more
