Guitar Hero: Rocks the 80s (PS2) by Activision
So many people have been knocking this game for the apparent 'poor setlist'.
This is absolutely untrue. The songs on this games are excellent quality and arguably more fun to play than a lot of the GHII songs.

Examples of really fun songs:
Electric Eye
Police Truck
Round and Round
Play With Me
Ballroom Blitz
No One Like You
Police Truck
Caught In A Mosh
Wrathchild
Turning Japanese

The only downside about this game is the limited number of songs. With around 50 on the original GH game, 64 on GHII, this addition only holds 30 songs, and while it's a stong setlist, it means it has slightly less replay value… Read more

This is their best release as far as i'm concerned. Only slightly better than 'Hello Rockview'.

Notable songs worth making a big fuss over in particular are:

'Kehoe': Best LTJ song in my opinion. Noone agrees, but it's so catchy.

'Suburban Myth': Just brilliant..

'Gainesville Rock City': Monumental. Short and sweet.

'Malt Liquor...': Another classic.

'Bad Scene and a Basement Show': Are you getting the picture?

'1989': LTJ's second greatest song for me. And it's the year I was born.

'Last Hour of the Last Day of Work': Always sounds so familiar, but it's their song, and it's a blinder.

The recent UK tour promoting this new album was amazing. Two songs from it that were played around the UK were 'Rooting for the Bad Guy' and 'The Revolution Will Be Televised', both sound incredible and even more awesome live than on the record.

Personally, compared to earlier Wildhearts albums, I think this is below par. But it's definately a step in the right direction - heavier, louder, cleaner (in the sense of sound), dirtier (in the sense of lyrics).

So maybe I should give this a 4?

...God no. This is the greatest band to come out of Britain.
