Whatever else this unusual account of God is, it is not Christian. The doctrine portrayed here is not that of the Trinity - it is the ancient modalist heresy. That is why leaders of the calibre of Albert Moehler and Mark Driscoll have condemned it. As usual, too many sentimentalists have been taken in by nonsense.

If you really want to read a book about an explanation of suffering, get hold of Ken Ham's "How could a loving God...?"

Genuine scientists, unlike the reviewers below, recognise that signs of design point inevitably to a designer. This was the position of all the great scientists of history. The genius of this book is that it uses such a simple example - the fascinating and worthwhile topic of bird watching - to illustrate this point. Bird-watchers with open minds - who haven't been indoctrinated by fundamentalist evolutionism - will welcome this worthy attempt to redress the balance in the literature.

Of course, there are plenty of other bird books you can buy, if you simply want your prejudices reinforced and would rather not have your thinking challenged. However, even non-creationists ought to… Read more

I really don't hate Microsoft. I work on Windows all the time. At work, I always use Office 2003. Excel is a wonderful tool (though OpenOffice Calc is just as good).

So when I say that Publisher is poor, I hope you realise I'm not your typical Bill Gates basher. But Microsoft have never really got it together with easy-to-use DTPs. Publisher is awkward and counter-intuitive.

Two alternative products are to be preferred. For those who want an easy package, with lots of pre-written templates, get Serif's PagePlus 11. It costs less than Publisher, and does a whole lot more.
