ORB Controller Thumb Grips 4-Pack (PS4) by ORB

4.0 out of 5 stars Not half bad, 20 Jan 2014
I am one of those people that think that failing batteries on a remote control can be mitigated by pressing the button harder. I also believe that pushing harder on the left stick on my PS4 controller will make Kun Aguero run faster in FIFA14. Both actions are based not on misconceptions but a lack of rationality at that time.

So I found myself, just three weeks after getting a new controller, with split rubber on the left stick. I ordered these thumb grips (that have two sets in them) after reading the other reviews and have some good news and some bad news. The bad news, for me at least, is that one set of the grips are concave, much like the controller but whilst they are much… Read more
Line 6 Pod Studio Gx Interface by Line 6
I bought this from a local music shop without checking any reviews up front, which I don't normally do, but with money burning a hole in my pocket, I was willing to trust the Line6 brand.

Once I got the device up and running, it works like a charm. No latency to speak of and a great selection of tones available via Pod Farm. I've not yet tried to get it to output via my PC, opting for the line out on the device, so can not comment on the latency using ASIO drivers, but I've heard good things from reviews of other Line6 devices.

E-MU Midi 1x1 16 Channel USB MIDI Interface by midi 1x1
After falling for spending only 3 on this:

USB Midi Cable Lead Adaptor for Musical Keyboard to PC Laptop XP Vista Mac

and it not working after hours of tinkering, I decided to spend a bit more money. It was well worth the extra 20. Plugged it in, told me DAW to use it...end of story. It does exactly what it says on the tin. BTW, I have Windows 8 x64. Using ASIO4ALL drivers makes latency undetectable.

Don't try to save some money on the cheaper stuff. It's a false economy. Now my 270 drum kit has a new lease of life and I can record just how bad I am.
