I know you get what you pay for and these are CHEAP, but I wouldn't bother again. My 1 year old & 4 year old love playing a couple of proper, 2nd hand harmonicas we have in Japan, where we live, they always sound nice - or at least not discordant - and it's nice for the kids to feel like they can make music. We were on holiday at home in Wales in the summer so I bought a couple of these for them for that trip. They're horrible. They're cheap and flimsy and the sound that comes out of them is really not pleasant. Fair enough, they are super cheap, but I'm pretty sure you can buy some proper harmonicas for a little bit more - pick up some old ones 2nd hand if you can, they sound so much… Read more

I'm only half way through this book but I'm already making a mental list of who to give/recommend it to. This is gold dust for a Christian parent. So good, challenging, thought provoking, encouraging, inspiring...I love it. Full of God's glory and grace and lots of good advice from an older, wiser couple on how to communicate that to our precious little ones. Get it. Read it. You won't regret it.

This is an absolutely brilliant book. If you're reading reviews trying to decide whether to get it and confused by the total polarisation of opinions, please do just read it for yourself. I really don't think there is anything near child abuse suggested in this book and that other reviewers are very unfair in what they have said about Tedd Tripp. This book is full of the grace and wisdom of the Lord Jesus and it has been one of the most helpful parenting books I've ever read (next to his other book Instructing a Child's Heart and Loving the Little Years by Rachel Jankovic). I've bought it for a few friends and passed my copy around to many others. Get it and read it for yourself.
