This was a very considered purchase and although there are units cheaper and better spec'd (e.g better measurement gauge options, laser pointers etc) I had concerns that the blades on the other types would not cut as smoothly.

This unit is really well made, balanced, doesn't shake and the blade..... well that IS the main great feature of this unit. Cuts anything and very accurate.

The only thing I would like to see is a way of attaching a vacuum hose to the exhaust port, with the thing as it is, it's almost impossible to do safely - no possibility to even tape it on.

Fantastic results though from a machine that is a great mid range price for the DIY'er… Read more

What a fantastic machine all round. A great price, great features and nice sound quality.

The unit had rub marks on the switch panel from the eco friendly packaging but these soon came off with a damp cloth.
It linked into our WiFi network flawlessly and immediately picked up the music server and was able to play high sampling rate Flac files from my music collection without any issue.

DAB radio works flawlessly and lovely sound emitted from its speakers.

Screen display is neat and easy to understand.

I used a DOS based DAW for writing music back in 1990's then later switched to Cubase that destroyed my creativity because of the fact that the mouse seemed to be the primary means of doing anything.

Sonar is immensely powerful and has all main features mapped to keys, plus you can get a Sonar coloured keyboard to enhance the slickness of using it.

Getting back into music creation again with Sonar was a little bit tricky at first, but after spending 1 day with it, everything else seems to come easy. Music creation is straight forward and the feature set for an entry level product is suprising.
