I returned the first unit: left hand deck wouldn't read CDs and CDRs (CDRs made professionally to Red Book standard). I tested the replacement. Same problem. This time it's the right hand deck. Boooooooooooo!
Road Rat's Tips - The Musician's Guide to Keeping &hellip by Pete Cook
A well written book and easy to read with the main points in each chapter dropped into text boxes as condensed bullet points. There's plenty of hints and tips even for the road-weariest of gigging musicians. And it's not just musicians who can benefit. I'm sometimes 'on the road' as a photographer and sound recordist and picked up a lot of good advice from this book.

Recommended.
Rock 'n' Roll London, A Magical History Tour [DVD] DVD ~ Various Artists

A tour of some of the famous music venues in London, some of which are still putting on gigs and some of which are now defunct. Art Wood and Mick Avory brings the late 50s and 60s scene alive and their laconic, dry delivery hits the spot. They are both, Art especially, a fount of knowledge. Although I know most of the places that Art introduces on camera well the DVD makes me want to go on my own pilgrimage of the venues that made the scene and gave birth to the music that is still with us. Art: you rest easy now.
