The first time I watched this I hated it. I only bought it because of the good reviews and various comparisons to the RHPS. Anyway because of the good reviews I thought I must have missed something first time round, perhaps I was just having an off day when I watched it, so I gave it another go and still hated it. It is dire, it's not even so bad it's good. The music is awful, in fact everything about this film is awful. Avoid.
The Warrior Who Carried Life by Geoff Ryman
5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible, 7 Mar 2012
This novel is in a class of it's own. Probably one of the most, if not the most, original sci fi/fantasy novel I have ever read. The story moves along very quickly leading to some extraordinary set pieces of writing which are both powerful and horrific. A short book that manages to intertwine many different themes and ideas. This book affected me deeply. As I read it I couldn't get out of my mind how good a film version would be as the images created by Ryman are so vivid. Anyone who likes sci fi or fantasy should try and lay their hands on a copy of this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Judas Kiss - not bad, 30 Nov 2011
Despite the somewhat wooden acting at times and a daft story, this film is actually quite good. If you can suspend disbelief for the duration there is something about this film that makes it strangely compelling. One I will keep and get out to watch again in a few months.
