CTEK recently released their version 2 of the MXS5 charger which benefits from temperature compensated output. The physical difference is that it has a red mode button. Is Amazon selling this?- the photos show the old model.
A classically good looking watch. I've not had an eco-drive watch before but I'm hoping the maintenance-free claims will hold true. Over the month or so I've had it, it's gained 10 seconds according to my radio-controlled clocks. On the whole i really like it, but do think its let down by two factors-
1- The strap is very thin by the buckle holes. So much so that after wearing it only 3 days the leather strap is left looking worn. That's not good enough for a prestige watch brand. I'm looking around for a replacement strap already which I'm not proud of.
2- The glass face stands proud of the polished stainless case by some 3mm. I'm hoping I never accidentally catch it… Read more
Very disappointed with this; what should be the high point of the Bodum cafetiere range has a design flaw in that the glass jar is not held securely within the metal cradle. After the first use after washing in the dishwasher, we lifted the unit out of the dishwasher by the handle and the jar fell out of its cradle under its own weight and smashed. I confess I didn't buy this from Amazon who I'm sure would have honoured a return.
