Well:
It doesn't like starting up, often switching back off after you have pressed the start button.
It will always fail to find the HD channels to record them UNLESS you are watching it and then tell it to record.
It has a habit of failing to stop recording after some 1/2 hour programmes until you find it still going some 12 hours later (only solution - pull the plug)
Yesterday it decided to record Layer Cake twice & (unaccountably) some action film - it had been asked to record the Antiques Roadshow & Upstairs Downstairs. This evening it concluded that I would far rather watch some obscure movie than the last episode of Rubicon. There is no telling when it will act… Read more
The Lost Symbol: (Robert Langdon Book 3) by Dan Brown
well. Another Dan Brown book, another madman with issues, more running about on a deadline, and another pretty girl - except this time the girl is a gold-plated whack-job, with far too much access to expensive scientific aparatus.
As usual the plot plummets along at breakneck speed, ensuring that way that the obfuscation is fairly effective. Strangely this time around there are 3 issues though. Brown - via his cypher Langdon - seems at pains to paint a comforting patrician view of the Masons (perhaps he is seeking admission to one of their temples), he seems also to be grovellingly obsequious about religion - particularly Christianity - on this outing.
