This is one of the freshest dance/electro EPs/albums I've come across in some time. Admittedly, I'm not a raving electro or house fan (I'd say I'm more about the dubstep/dnb/trance/liquicity)as I generally find it all rather samey and a bit boring - but I am however a Boy8bit fan, so I have the potential to be a little biased. The tracks have a tendencey to be a little repetitive but I love the many layers, climaxes and sounds that he lays down. Cricket Scores is the song that led me to the EP as a whole, I just think it's brilliant! True to Boy8bit in its rhythm and beat and fun and bouncy enough to have on repeat. I'm not a fan of "indie style" or general band music, its only a recent thing I've broken away from dance as an umbrella genre and I think it's my dance background that has helped me enjoy Oracular Spectacular. It has some really nice synthy/trancey melodies and sounds and I'm really enjoying it. I loved Electric Feel from the moment I heard it and was a little disappointed more of the album isn't like it but its still good and I would still recommend it. Some good sounds in there!

As an avid RHCP fan I am always the first to jump on the bandwagon in reviewing their work. I'm not going to lie, being a MASSIVE John Frusciante fan I wasn't hugely excited about the chilis carrying on without him, however - good job Josh Klinghoffer! No, he is absolutely no John Frusciante not in skill, talent or emotion but the boiz got skillz! And I like his voice, it's pretty. His guitar solos are totally different to Frusciante's but he is able to carry the music somehow, and it sounds lovely! A very different but great addition to the band!

I had the excellent pleasure of going to see them play live in November and it was at this point I thought to myself, "I really ought… Read more
