In My Own Words:
Since, I have a Christian worldview, whether or not I express that in my reviews, it is usually evident in some form or another. I am dedicated to following the word of God, and by this I do not mean following every line and word, but truly knowing what it says in its entirety, and keeping things in context, and following it w/ the Lord's help through prayer. So, that means that all of my choices … Read more

Society [DVD] [1991] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] DVD ~ Billy Warlock
I do not watch horror films anymore (due to PTSD and how horror films trigger horrifying nightmares), but I recently did watch this, and it's images will forever be imbedded in to my mind like no other film or piece of horror fiction since Uzumaki: Volume 1. This film goes places you just don't expect it to, for that matter, it went places I never thought any film would go. No matter how much you read about this film (I suggest knowing as little as possible), you will still be in for a shock ride in the last 20 minutes of this film.

Shades Of Purple ~ M2M
M2M is one of those groups that you either seem to love or hate, and personally, I am in the former group. Granted their music isn't stuff the stuff of a genius lyrically, but it is some of the most tuneful and catchy stuff you can hear in music these days.

On Shades of Purple M2M are have high pitched and floaty vocals, not nearly as strong as on their second album "The Big Room"(Which in my opinion is better then SoP in that it is not quite as sacharine), also it is a little overproduced, just as much as many of the teen acts that came shortly before M2M. The thing that set this album apart from the pack was that they played their own instruments and they have a sort of genuine… Read more

A landmark in cinema, not just in sci-fi, but in cinema period. This film truly set the bench mark for high tension, suspense, and paranoia which the 1970's remake comes close to, but doesn't quite match. This is the film that introduced the idea of aliens that take over the world via the mind (the idea was first popularized by Robert A. Heinleind in "The Puppet Masters" and later turned in to the book Invasion of the Body Snatchers" by Jack Finney) and has since become a common theme in sci-fi and horror, but anyone who is interested in good films or the roots of sci-fi needs to watch this movie and if you have the time read Heinleind and Finney's novels as well.

I was 10yrs the… Read more
