The box the kit comes in is about 20x20x10cm and contains the well packed camera, mounting bracket and instructions, no software is supplied but can be downloaded.
Both the camera and mounting bracket look very well made, the camera as thought is smaller than earlier model Foscams, the bracket is strong and has ample adjustments in all 3 axis. Daytime image quality is very good with accurate colour rendition, night time vision is also good, the infra-red sensor gives a clear image and the single led reaches a good distance away. Infra-red kicks in when the light falls to a low enough level and there's a definite switch over when the led lights up.
The case is a good fit and looks the part, but it's not 'Leather' as described, I didn't really expect it to be for £15. The retro look of the case compliments the MX-1 perfectly and though it's a bit stiff when new it's very usable. It is well padded and should give very good protection to the camera.
The seller Hozer is in China so delivery took a while, the case did arrive within the stated time though.
I won't try to compete with any of the really excellent reviews here, I'll just say I wanted a small camera to take out with me when at work when a dslr is too bulky and liable to get damaged. I didn't want a do it all for you point and shoot or a camera that was going to require a second mortgage. I'm a long time Pentax user and at the price there simply wasn't any question I would pick the MX-1, it hasn't given me any reason to regret buying it.
