This is a long awaited reissue for 80's pop fans of Blue Zoo's only album. Blue Zoo are from the new romantic second division and only scored one top 40 hit; 1983's infectious 'Cry Boy Cry'. This song is not that typical of the rest of the album but what one does get is a strong collection of varied and sometimes quite bizarre early 80's pop. I think of Blue Zoo as a harder, edgier Kajagoogoo but fans of Duran, Scars, Japan and other new romance/post-punk bands of the era will not be dissapointed. 'Two by Two' is certainly a minor classic of its era that is really quite essential for 80's pop geeks.

Acting On Impulse - The Best Of Five Or Six ~ Five or Six
I must agree with the previous reviewer that more tracks could and should have been included here. My only other criticism is that the colourful sleeve design seems to belong to another album and fails to reflect the arty gloom of Five or Six. It would in my view have been far more fitting to use one of the bands moody black and white sleeve images. This minor gripe aside, the music on this CD is very good and well worth the attention of music fans interested in early indie and experimental post punk who have already explored many of the more obvious exponents of these genres.
