We use this book a lot as a reference guide for nutritionally analyzing our recipes and find it invaluable. It's got a good range of vegetables, fruit and other products and is compact enough to flick through while your typing. We save a lot of time by having the standardized weighs of these readily available.

This book sets out to present you with a collection of traditional Indian food that are all easy to cook while retaining their ethnic feel. It discusses how the flavours of the key spices work together and authentic cooking techniques such as baghaar - lightly frying whole spices which are then added to the recipe at the start, end or both according to the particular dish which gives it its unique characteristics.

Included are recipes for cooking with bhindi, paneer, dhals and lots more. An interesting inclusion were the recipes using baddis which are dehydrated lentil dumplings, although a recipe is given to make fresh ones too. A nice touch throughout the book are the folk… Read more
