Objects First with Java: A Practical Introduction &hellip by David J. Barnes

This book is an introduction to the concept of Object Oriented programming using the Java language. It is not a complete course in Java and by avoiding getting too involved in the specifics of the Java language, allows the skills you will learn to be applied to writing code in any object oriented language.

The book is fantastically laid out with full colour-coded syntax for all code examples making it much easier to read than most programming books.

This is a tutorial rather than a reference book.

A massively entertaining book. This made me laugh a lot and provides plenty of food for thought. The book is very well presented and Banksy's work never ceases to amaze me. He looks at the world with a fascinating perspective.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for inspiration, 4 Sep 2006
This series of books are brilliant if you need pictures for inspiration. The text is sparse, but I did not purchase this for the writing. A nice coffee table book and brilliant value for the money.
