Illusion of Democracy ~ Reflux
5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 25 Aug 2005
How to describe this album? Basically, most types of metal in a blender, written and played by people with robotic hands, awesome. I thought Misery Signals would be my favorite album for a very long time, but Illusion of Democracy is another example of the future of metal.

I couldn't quite believe the other review on here, devoid of breakdowns? WHAT? heinous lies aside, this is incredible, i would rate this up with the satellite years and jane doe as one of the best cd's i have heard. It is very heavy and the musicianship is fantastic. I guess it might be described as post-hardcore/metal, but for a good idea download the track "five years" from their website. If you enjoy complex, heavy music, seriously check these guys out. And fortunately the genius song structures give plenty of scope for many excellent breakdowns.
