1800 Colourful Loom Bands & 75 Clips! by Loom Bands
3.0 out of 5 stars Great value for money, 30 Aug 2014
These seemed to represent fantastic value for money but I am concerned about reports that inexpensive loom bands coming from China contain a dangerous amount of cancer-causing chemicals. Obviously I don't know if this applies to this particular product. My kids don't wear the bracelets once they've made them but even so it has worried me. The bands are in vibrant colours and the quality seems just as good as those I've bought on the High Street.
Doctor Sleep (Shining Book 2) by Stephen King
I don't usually read books in this genre but I recently read "The Shining" and thought it was a masterpiece. I couldn't believe Steven King was so young when he wrote it. Danny Torrance must be one of the nicest fictional children I have come across and I was interested to know how King continued his story. My ten year old daughter chose this for her school bag. The illustration is beautiful and the fabric on the front of the bag is very soft and cuddly. It seems to be of very good quality and should last some time. This is definitely a little bit smaller than the average school backpack and we can just about squeeze all her folders etc in there. The straps are a problem for her to manage. They are a sliding arrangement which need adjusting every time the bag is used. There are pockets for water bottles and some interior dividers which will be useful. All in all a nice unisex bag for a younger child. It is probably not suitable for a child at secondary school, it would be too small.
