Overall this book is well written and a great read, although there is some repetition and I'd imagine you'd find that you'll be skipping some parts. However, some sections presented a great and quick introduction into medical trials work, especially the chapter on the Placebo effect mentioned a number of studies that were very interesting. Worth a read, however, the book mostly focuses on medicine / nutrition.
This is a truly wonderful book. Stig Severinsen makes a relatively tricky and complex topic accessible to the average reader. The tools and exercises that I learned in this book are powerful, in terms of increasing oxygen uptake and capacity of your lungs, one may feel the benefits of the presented exercises in a relatively short time. The book is an intro and a follow up by Stig would be nice, which I would certainly buy, but although it covers basics, the book delves into a lot of things (including a section on Pranayama Yoga), and I highly recommend it!
I just borrowed this book from my University Library, read the first 50 pages, and I agree with the previous review to some extent, but I think the book is a useful contribution in the space of social media and the semantic technologies that ought to be used more ubiquitously on the web. Generally an easy read, sometime lengthy and dull, but I would give this book three stars, and if you are interested into Web 2.0 and Semantic Web and what role they play and will play in the future together, then this is worth having a good read through.
