Thraxas And The Sorcerers: The Thraxas Novels: Boo&hellip by Martin Scott

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious!, 5 Nov 2001
As usual with a Thraxas book, this one starts slow and then rockets headlong to a terrific climax.
This time Thraxas has been given the task of Officiating at the election of a new head Sorcerer. His task is to prevent anything ontoward happening to Turai's local candidate. What his main objective is however, is to make sure the candidate wins by any means necessary.
What follows is a manic ride as dirty senators and drunken sorcerers (and the occasional murder) all attempt to distract him from his task.
This book was even funnier than the last and has one of the funniest drinking contests in print..
Bravo.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!!!, 16 Nov 2000
This book really surprised me. Not only was the background colourful and insightful, the stories really do tie together really well. The 'Game of Rat and Dragon',rates as one of the finest short stories I have read. Read this book!
On Basilisk Station (Honor Harrington) by David Weber
4.0 out of 5 stars As Hard as Nails., 20 Sep 2000
This, the first in an ongoing series is a Great read. The whole backgound planets are strange yet Uncomfortably familiar. Honor herself is as tough as they come and with just one look reduces those around her to quivering wrecks. And as much as it shouldn't, that darn cat steals the show!
