Rodan & War of the Gargantuas [DVD] [1956] [Region&hellip DVD ~ Kenji Sahara
5.0 out of 5 stars Monster Mayhem!!, 18 Sep 2013
I love this double feature set - well worth the price.
There is an excellent documentary on the Toho Godzilla series on the Rodan Disc. Sadly no extras on the War of the Gargantuas.
What you do get is the films in both the American dubbed and original Japanese version. This is great for those who like the choice, I always prefer the Japanese version.
Both films have giant monsters destroying cities - of course these are men in suits and miniature sets but use you imagination!! Art of Beowulf by Steve Starkey
Art of Beowulf by Steve Starkey
I urge people to watch Beowulf again on Blu-ray, it is stunning!
This book compliments the film with production artwork that is simply gorgeous. The art is a joy to study and printed clearly on quality paper stock.
The changes through the film, which covers a number of years, are explained in detail and just show the detail that goes into a film like this. A fabulous book that I am proud to own.
The Art of The Adventures of Tintin (Adventures of&hellip by Weta Workshop
This book shows how they created the very entertaining Tintin movie.
Such astonishing attention to detail and research by the team is shown. They all seem to love the original Tintin artwork and just hyper-realised it. I cannot beleive that all the cars, props, streets, clothes only exist in the computer!
The book is printed on very nice paper and the photos and just excellent. The film may mess with your mind, as you know the characters are not real, but there they are moving, but the still photos just look stunning and show you the detail you may have missed.
I love this book it is a quality product and so very interesting as to how they chose certain looks for the movie.
