Last Stand of the Legion: Rift (Blood War Book 1) by Rod Carstens

One of the best military science fiction books I have ever read and I've read dozens,Rod Carstens has started what looks to be an epic, interesting characters, great plot, epic combat in space and on the ground and a totally despicable enemy, the only down side is awaiting the next chapter.
THE HAMMER: Hammer of God by Gina Miani
5.0 out of 5 stars Hammer of God, 19 Mar 2014
Brilliant trilogy about one of the greatest generals of all time, this period in history is shamefully under retold considering that without the bravery of Charles Martel Europe as we know it wouldn't exist and Christianity wouldn't either.
A Despite Of Hornets (Napoleon's Spanish Ulcer) by Geoffrey Watson
5.0 out of 5 stars A Despite of Hornets, 8 Jan 2014
Do not be put off by the title,it will become clear upon reading the book, this series is on a par with the Sharpe stories and a thoroughly enjoyable tale of triumph against formidable odds fighting Napoleon armies in Spain, the characters are unorthodox like Sharpe and thoroughly engaging.Must read for fans of Cornwall and historical fiction.
