1.0 out of 5 stars Very Poor, 12 Feb 2012
I brought a pair of these for my mother hoping that she would stop having to use the Hothands heat packs every day and these sounded the answer.
Apart from being very over generously sized as other reviewers have pointed out, they do have a very short battery life. She walks around 1 hr and 30 mins a day with the dog and they last about a third of that if she is lucky!

This machine comes with a plastic jug and you can't use it as a normal cold blender, my friend does smotthies and cocktails in hers as it has a glass jar.
The other big difference is that the Cuisinart one has a non stick coocking plate so you can saute ingredients first (eg onions, bacon, garlic) this really does make a different to the end flavour. It also means I cant fry meat off to cook, so no meat recipes to me unless I add cook meat, which does not infuse into the end flavour.

Also you cannot control how… Read more
