This book was bought for me by my Dad because he knows how much I like Mary Berry. Unfortunately, he wasted his money. The author is unlucky that the book has come out in the same year as Mary Berry's autobiography. However, it is hard to forgive him for his lack of personal knowledge about Mary. His information comes mainly from old newspaper/magazine articles and Mary's appearance on Desert Island Discs.A shocking lack of knowledge has led to the author padding out the book's pages with completely unnecessary information such as: the history of cooking/cooking appliances, a potted history of women's magazines, how celebrity chefs effect consumerism, Agas past and present, the cultural and… Read more
