Shame on Him (Fool Me Once) by Tara Sivec
3.0 out of 5 stars Light reading, 21 Aug 2014
Having read the two first books that was from the points of view of Paige and Kennedy. I wanted to read Lorelei's story.
It is a shame that Lorelei could only be seen as a strong person when she swears.
This is easy reading, with a little humour.
Wired for Sex: What Christian Wives Should Know Ab&hellip by Barry Franklin
Not sure why I choose this book. I suppose I was looking for the opinions of a Christian writer on the subject of sex because it is not talked about much in the Christian settings.
I found the book written by a man for women insulting, patronizing and distasteful. This book by Barry Franklin is written to justify his sexual lust and those men who think like him. There are tasteful books written by women that addresses this issues and get the message across. If this book was mean to help women in there marriage I am afraid it has failed badly. There is much more I could say. However this is not a book I would recommend to my friends
How to Sleep Like a Baby, A Meditation on Psalm 3 by Bob Saffrin
I chose this book because I have read three of Bob Saffron's other books. This book is a self-help book in helping one to sleep. It is encouraging and practical it makes God the focus and the problem secondary.
You can rely on Bob to be practical.
I would recommend this book because it is helpful.
