This updated version of 'A woman in your own right' Struck so many chords with me from the very first chapter. I have always conceded myself as a confidant and forward person but life could be a battle. Now self-assurance is effortless and confrontation no longer leaves me feeling drained. I feel freed from the power struggles of life. Well written and relevant to today's woman (and man).

The title for my review maybe a little hash for I only have two complaints about the book. First, out of a 165 oils comprehensibly describe there is no mention of my favourite oil Ravensara but has a listing for oils as obscure as Mugwort. My second quibble is the lack of a table of contents at the start of the chapter on oils its all very well having the oils in alphabetical order in according to their scientific name but a list of corresponding page numbers and common names would speed up the process of looking up a specific oil.

I took a copy of "The Complete guide to Edible wild plants...." with me camping last week. After my initial disappointment that the book was not relevant for the U.K. I continued to read it having nothing else with me at the time. I enjoyed it and unlike my other field guides I read it cover to cover. It has many interesting factual nuggets and I warmed to the author and enjoyed her passion on the subject. Especially enjoying her explanations and the detail she went in to when discussing the plants scientific names.
