Like listening to an enjoyable story-telling with great (and substantial) musical extracts. It really helped me get my head around the plot, and meant that I enjoyed the Ring Cycle so much more when I saw it
I've read several other biographies of the Buddha, but this is definitely the most enjoyable yet. Vishvapani fills in the story with lots of historical detail, whilst not discounting the more mythic elements. Readable and interesting. Well-written, too.
