Nice layout, great photography and just the right amount of info on each entry. Granted, the text is not as detailed as a Collins Field Guide, but given the number of species covered this would be impossible without turning the book into some unwieldy carbuncle. A great little guide to throw in the backpack on a day out, simple as that.

What can I say? 'Nice Weather For Ducks' is, quite frankly, the weirdest and funniest tune I have heard all year. If you don't break out in a fit of feelgood giggles at the start, and feel even better as the song builds up to a mad trumpety crescendo, you need to stop taking your music so seriously.
As for the rest of the album - by turns sinister (Experiment No. Six) and silly, it is fantastic.
'Space Walk', 'Ramblin' Man' and 'Nice Weather For Ducks' are easily as good as 'Tune For Jack', 'Staunton Lick' from the EP collection.
Effortlessly brilliant and thoroughly recommended. Beautiful album design, too.
Anywhere I can get the cover as a poster?

If you can bring yourself to ignore the sneering cyniciscm this album will probably recieve from the 'trendier' muso-journo's - no doubt berating it's lack of innovation and the naivety of the song's, you'll come to realise this is exactly why you find it so ineffably beguiling. Add a vocal talent on par with the likes of Jewel and Beth Orton, and you have the perfect… Read more
