The time the book is set in is absolutely accurate. As a regular visitor to Tunisia I know all the locations featured in this book and I would receommend anyone reading it to visit Sousse (and other places in Tunisia) to experience first-hand the atmosphere this book creates.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a Read, 3 Oct 2007
This story about an Irish lad Benny who has to move to Tuunisia with his family and meets a local lad Omar, will leave you spellbound. I could not put this book down until I had finished it. It will leave you in tears at the end. Having visited Tunisia many times, I have to say the book is totally accurate and portrays the country and especially Sfax, exactly as life is there still in 2007.
Highly recommended.
