I loved the t.v series about Jame ROCKFORD P.I. and so on finding that there were books available decided to try one. They don't seem to be easy to find so Amazon was ideal to get a copy.

If you enjoyed the t.v. series the book will not let you down, if you've never seen the show the book still won't let you down!!

Knowing the character portrayed ON T.V. by James GARNER as soon as you read the book it was just like you were involved in watching another episode. This book (and the other book, 'Devil on My Doorstep') read just as though they were scripts for unreleased shows. This is one of the best true story books I've read in a long long time. There's a nice introduction to each member of the sniper team where the author gives his characterization of the individual. It has a personal yet professional feel. It reads quite 'Andy MCNAB' in style.

The book just had you wanting to turn page after page, it was hard to put down. These soldiers were right in the thick of it, the battle was almost constant. The author, Sgt Dan MILLS, takes you on the ground and out on patrol with his team, he awakens you to just what conditions and pressure our soldiers are under.
