5.0 out of 5 stars Touching and tough, 13 April 2014
I bought this book on recommendation so no prior experience of the author. I really enjoyed it.

The characters are drawn clearly, but with enough space left for the reader to add their own personalities. The sadness of Bins, abandoned by society, the way the estate claws Jim back, the tough exterior cultivated by Shamalaya and the contrast with Ayesha all make for a fascinating mix, and the twist at the end of the tale is a good one.

Not only has the author written a great story, the end pages are wider reading and links to help for runaway and/or abused youngsters.

All together well researched and that shines through.
