Penser dans l'urgence : Parcours critique d'un hum&hellip by Catherine Portevin
Rony Brauman, long a leading voice in Médecins Sans Frontières, is one of the most distinguished and thoughtful figures in international humanitarianism. These wide-ranging reflections on the scope of the humanitarian endeavour track his own biographical journey, yielding insight after insight on one of the most vital topics of our age. NB: the text is in French but accessibly written for those with a reasonable command of the language. If you can get through an interview in a French newspaper will be able to follow this, as it takes the form of a series of interviews with Catherine Portevin.

Fine transfers of these landmark recordings of the Cello Suites. There have been many great interpretations of these pieces since, but for all their virtues, none can ever quite live up to the beauty of Casals' reading. Every music lover should hear it without delay, whether in these Naxos restorations or as part of the recent EMI box set of Casals' studio recordings (Pablo Casals - The Complete Published EMI Recordings 1926-1955).
