2.0 out of 5 stars Big disappointment, 21 Sep 2013
I have played every single installment of the Total War series over the years. I thought after Empire: Total War, they learned what works and what doesn't, but this game is turning out to be just as much a disappointment as Empire was. Overbloated and way to much attention to looks, at the expense of gameplay and pretty much everything that made these games so much fun: Interesting decisions at every turn.

The only thing this game is indeed good for is getting little jobs done in the house, while you wait for your next turn. To top it all off, the fact its now registered with Steam means I can't even sell this bloody thing. Don't waste your money and continue playing Shogun II.

In the meantime, the Ultima series and then Ultima Online started the concept of Roleplaying Games and then MMORPG, resulting in games like Everquest, Guild Wars and World of Warcraft… Read more

I have to admit, I didn't finish the book. I feel I made a mistake an bought it too quickly, without first looking at the authors bio and sleeve information.

I have no doubt, that the intelligence services have gotten a lot wrong, but it is a bit rich to practically absolve the US administration and explain everything that went wrong to be solely caused by bad and inaccurate information of the intelligence services.
When I read a claim, that this is due to mismanagement of the intelligence services during 8 years of Clinton administration, it appears to me that this is a very right wing, republican splurt of half truths.
I tried to shake this impression and read on, to… Read more
