No Hope, No Future ~ Good Shoes
No Hope, No Future ~ Good Shoes
5.0 out of 5 stars Repeated Listenings..., 25 Feb 2010
I am glad I listened to this album a couple of weeks before deciding to post a review. No Hope No Future doesn't have the same immediate appeal as Good Shoes - Think Before You Speak. The songs have a darker feel, both musically and lyrically. Rhys Jones has developed into something of an indie rock stylist on this outing and the band is really focused. My only gripe is that the album feels a little short at just over thirty minutes.

What a wonderfully bizzare album! This combination of colourful keyboards, off-kilter guitars and eccentric lyrics has been pouring from my stereo speakers, continually, for nearly two weeks. My expectations for their next release are exceedingly high.
