In My Own Words:
How do I sum myself up? Well I'd like to say eccentric but in truth I'm just plain weird, when I'm not at work, eating or sleeping or online you'll find me hidden away in a dark room with some obscure cult film that almost no-one cares about.

Interests
horror films, not all that Saw/Hostel/slasher remake hollywood garbage (no offence if thats your thing) I prefer the older and less known about films, my favourite director is Lucio Fulci and I have a great love for Italian films, I also love exploit… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome giallo!, 3 Jun 2014
Death Occurred Last Night arrives on Blu-ray region free and with pretty good picture quality after Raro take a slight bashing for letting the transfers of the last few dip a tad (they weren't terrible but below what we're used to of them). Is the film any good? Yes it is but when you hear the word giallo don't imagine black gloved killers running rampant, high body counts or gratuitous sex or violence, closer to Hitchcock or late 60's Lenzi suspense thriller than the fun, stylish thrill-ride so often associated with the genre. This is after all from the director of THE BLOODSTAINED BUTTERFLY..UNCUT GIALLO.. and like said film… Read more

Today I review the German Eyecatcher release of Italian action movie Crimebusters starring Henry Silva and Antonio Sabato (not to be confused with the Bud Spencer film of the same title). This film is awesome and if you like your tough cop/vigilante action movies particularly these Italian efforts of the 70's (Lenzi, Di Leo, Castellari etc) then you must own this one! Henry Silva stars as the army general whose attempt to save a child from kidnapping involves him in a conspiracy of smuggled military guns and links between the seemingly respectable social elites and the criminal underworld, along for the ride is no-nonsense tough guy Antonio Sabato determined to be kept in the loop and… Read more

For those of you who collect the films of Umberto Lenzi this one is a real treat, lots of action, some rough tough violence and three that's right three of the poliziotteschi genre's biggest stars. The film follows three separate stories, that of officer Tanzi (as usual played brilliantly by Maurizio Merli) trying to capture or kill two powerhouse crime bosses by playing them against one another, one of America's biggest syndicate heads (John Saxon of "Violent Naples", "Black Christmas" and "The Girl Who Knew Too Much") who is trying to expand his territory through Italy and ruthless local gangster nicknamed The China man (Tomas Milian, Lenzi's go-to guy for these type of films) who wants… Read more
