This is an excellent book for anyone interested in seasonal cookery- which we should be if we care about the environment. I love the simplicity of the recipes and the emphasis on lack of waste. As I read it, I realised that a great deal of what Soraya says about the importance of putting love and positive energy into your food is something I have always tried to do anyway. Do you know, I might already be a witch without realising it! There are some lovely suggestions not only for recipes but for creating joyful and harmonious environments in which to share food, and I am already planning this years garden with many of her delightful suggestions! 5.0 out of 5 stars Exquisite, 11 Oct 2012
This is so beautiful that it moved me to tears. The cover of Jolene is the finest I have ever heard. You can hear birds singing, and that beautiful sound of fingers sliding on guitar strings. If you are in love with someone, buy them this for the first track alone. I believe every word Naomi sings- a voice truly full of human spirit. Exquisite musicianship from all involved and who cares if its just 4 tracks- they'll be played over and over again...Gorgeous- I can't wait to buy her albums now.

Warren truly would bring a tear to a glass eye. His lyrics are both mirthful and set me giggling or unbearably moving and painful. I had only ever heard Werewolves of London played on mainstream radio, so Roland The Headless Thomson Gunner stopped me in my tracks when I heard it on Planet Rock and I had to hear more. This album is a wonderful mix of Warren's ascerbic wit and dark romanticism.Accidently Like a Martyr with its beautifully plaintive and almost quirky piano never fails to move me.Lawyers Guns and Money is simply one of my favourite ever rock tracks - why do we never hear it??? Johnny Strikes up the Band is just glorious to dance to, Tenderness On The Block is full of love and… Read more
