This game seems to have engendered more over-reaction than any other game I've seen reviewed. In short, Fifa 13 is an excellent game, and well worth buying if you don't already own Fifa 12. If you do already own Fifa 12, buying this is harder to justify. But it is no way as awful or awe inspiring as others are suggesting.

I'll write this as a comparison to Fifa 12. Last year's version was a big improvement from Fifa 11, and it had taken a number of bold changes in gameplay and added a large number of other options. This years version has had largely subtle changes, that are far less significant. In terms of options, it's much the same. Season mode, Career Mode, Ultimate Team, etc… Read more

Firstly, the game is loaded with options, mny of which I haven't looked into yet. My only interest is in taking a team through an offline season/franchise.

The presentation is mostly excellent. The graphics are superb, player animations outstanding, and the game almost looks like the real thing. The stadiums look pretty good too, though lacking in a few details. The commentary isn't bad, though there… Read more
