Don't buy this for your Android device. The text doesn't display correctly. Just lots of rectangles where the vowels ought to be!

5.0 out of 5 stars Death of a Peer, 23 Feb 2012
This must be one of the cleverest murder mysteries I have read in a long while. The locale shifts from the Caribbean to London, then to the countryside and Raichev creates excellent atmosphere of tension and unease. The characters stay in the mind long after one finishes reading while the solution caught me completely by surprise, despite the meticulously laid trail of clues. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars A GEM OF A SERIES, 29 May 2011
This is the 6th and, in my opinion, the most accomplished of R.T. Raichev's Antonia Darcy and Major Payne investigations. It is compulsively readable, combining an intricate plot with interesting characters and extremely amusing dialogue. To my mind, the book brings to mind the best of Ngaio Marsh's comedy of manners, Agatha Christie's unguessable whodunits and Hitchcock's suspense. NB The chapter on the Bulgarian royal family (Vie de Chateau)is an absolute delight, even if it is found to be lacking in historical accuracy. Highly reccommended.
