I've been using a third-party smart cover with my iPad 4, which works great but doesn't protect the back so I initially bought a hard clear plastic back cover that did its job but felt cheap plus was scratched out of the box.

So I looked for an alternative and found this. I was a little apprehensive about buying it as I thought it be another sub-standard quality item like the other one I bought. Well, this one isn't, thankfully; it is much better with a soft, warm rubber feel to it that makes it both comfortable to hold and feels like it is protecting against knocks and bangs. The picture on Amazon is misleading as the one I got says Kidigi not Decrescent on the front but otherwise it is the same as shown here (ironically, my Samsung Galaxy S3 dock is also a Kidigi one).

What is great about this dock is that the back plate it is adjustable so you can use it to recharge an iPad 4 (or other Lightning-compatible iDevice) with or without a cover on. My iPad has a semi-transparent rubber back cover and a third-party smart cover on the front but it fits perfectly into the dock. Great value extended cable for iPad 4, 7 Jan 2013

I've been on the look out for a longer Lightning to USB cable to recharge my new iPad 4 from the mains from while it was on a stand on my desk as the supplied cable was just too short at 1 metre in length. This one works superbly and, as far as I can tell, recharges my iPad in about the same time as the original cable. It even recharges my iPad while it is in use and plugged into the mains as well, although obviously much slower than when it is turned completely off. It looks exactly like the official Apple cable, only longer, and appears to be made to the same high quality. Recommended if you want a longer Lightning connector rather than using a USB extender with the original cable.
