Peter Fraser by Martin (ed) Clark
Peter Fraser by Martin (ed) Clark
...then this is the one. Lavishly illustrated, nicely printed, this big chunky volume has most of his best known pieces in. And insightful commentary on the various stages of his development. Fraser's work is, apparently, controversial in some quarters of the photography world. But I love it and find it full of warmth, imagination, even mischief. Oh, and not forgetting a beautiful sense of colour and composition. He seems able to make the simplest, most humble little object a thing of wonder and beauty. He is that rare beast: a photographer who is also something of an artist. Highly recommended.

You get what you pay for. This is not very well made. The velcro wouldn't stay closed. Tried another make of bag but the zip jammed on that. Ended up wrapping my mat in a bin bag. Should've done that from the start...

Marc Wootton is something of an underrated genius in my opinion. The Ali G guy has a higher profile but I enjoy Wootton's stuff far more. Shirley Ghostman and My New Best Friend were masterpieces. This is just as funny. I really don't know how he does it. I wait with baited breath what his next project will be.
