Eclipse (Twilight Saga Book 3) by Stephenie Meyer
Eclipse (Twilight Saga Book 3) by Stephenie Meyer
This is a very successful series of books which must have made a fortune for the author and for the publisher. So why did they not hire a better proof-reader? Several minor errors, mostly missing words like 'to' but a real blunder for what is supposed to be a professional book - getting rein and reign confused.
Aside from that, I will undoubtedly re-read them all over again. I agree with the review that says that Bella is rather a weak heroine - she acts so stupid(!) sometimes. And yet that is the nature of romantic heroines, whether or not they are mixed up with werewolves and vampires.
Most enjoyable, 5 stars for the book, 2 stars for the editing.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great story, 30 Jan 2013
I read this one some time ago, before it was published, again when first published. It had a different cover then.
Kianda Mala, the fictional Monkey-Man. He is a primitive, with enormous dignity and intelligence. His story and the story of his people and the problems that 'civilization' brought to them, is a journey that I most enjoyed. This is a great story.

4.0 out of 5 stars An exotic setting, 28 Nov 2012
I particularly enjoyed the exotic setting of this romance novel. It is well written, and if I found some of Femmy's behaviour with the prince to be be unlikely, it is because I nearly always find romances unlikely. This romance has more quality than most of that genre. The details of Morocco appear to have been well researched, even down to the mint tea. Recommended, and not only for lovers of romance.
